XTI Aircraft Company Announces Twelve More Orders for the TriFan 600 Hybrid-Electric Vertical Takeoff Airplane

Rooftop Landing

Acess Remote Areas

No Airport Required

Pre-sales program orders now at 76 airplanes

Tthe market continues to recognize the value proposition of our unique and revolutionary airplane with its cleaner state-of-the-art hybrid-electric propulsion system"”

— Robert LaBelle, CEO XTI Aircraft

DENVER, CO, USA, December 4, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — XTI Aircraft Company (XTI) announced today that customers in the North America, Europe, and the Middle East have placed twelve additional orders for the TriFan 600 vertical takeoff airplane under XTI’s pre-sales program.

“This brings our backlog to 76,” said Robert LaBelle, Chief Executive Officer of XTI. “The new orders come at an excellent time,” LaBelle continued, “because this solidifies our budget and improves our revenue projections as we head into the initial flight tests for our 65% scale Proof of Concept aircraft. The total number of orders represents $494 million in gross revenues upon delivery of the aircraft.”

“With these twelve new orders in just the past week,” said LaBelle, “the market continues to recognize the value proposition of our unique and revolutionary airplane with its cleaner state-of-the-art hybrid-electric propulsion system, extremely low operating costs, and patented technology. Vertical takeoff combined with the ability to fly long-range and the speed and comfort of a business aircraft.”

The company previously announced 64 orders from customers in the U.S., Japan, Australia, India, Brazil, the Middle East, and Europe, beginning with the first orders at last year’s Paris Air Show. This was followed by orders at the October 2017 and October 2018 NBAA conventions.

The TriFan 600 is a major breakthrough in aviation and air travel. The six-seat TriFan 600 will have the speed, range and comfort of a luxury business aircraft and the ability to take off and land vertically, like a helicopter. It will travel at 345 miles an hour, with a range of up to 1,200 miles. Using three ducted fans, the TriFan lifts off vertically. Its two wing fans then rotate forward for a seamless transition to cruise speed and its initial climb. It will reach 30,000 feet in just ten minutes and cruise to the destination as a highly efficient business aircraft.

TCOM, LP, Global Leader in ISR Aerostats, Wins Platinum for Best Persistent Surveillance Solution at AST’s 2018 Awards

TCOM, LP, Global Leader in ISR Aerostats, Wins Platinum Award for Best Persistent Surveillance Solution at the American Security Today’s 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Awards

What differentiates TCOM’s aerostats is their ease of deployment, efficiency and the fact that they can serve as eyes in the sky.”

— Matthew McNiel, VP of BD, TCOM,LP

COLUMBIA, MARYLAND, UNITED STATES, December 3, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — TCOM, L.P., a global leader for innovative, cost-effective ISR Airborne Persistent Surveillance Aerostat Solutions—accepted a Platinum Award presented by American Security Today for its Persistent Surveillance Aerostats as part of the 2018 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards.

The ‘ASTORS’ program is specifically designed to honor distinguished government and vendor solutions that deliver enhanced value, benefit and intelligence to end users in a variety of government, homeland security, enterprise, and public safety vertical markets.

Aerostats offer persistent surveillance solutions that have unique advantages over traditional ground-based and airborne surveillance systems. Aerostat systems act as a “virtual fence” along coastlines, around vessels, or the port perimeter by providing continuous, real-time monitoring of activities in a cost-effective solution. The systems can detect threats at greater range and in the blind spots of traditional surface-based sensors, providing security forces with more time to think, react, engage, and neutralize threats.

Combining powerful radar, longer deployment times and customizable payload configurations with low cost per flight hour configurations, TCOM’s aerostats are the perfect solution for persistent surveillance. Moreover, aerostats offer a combination of wide viewing angles and high resolution for more precise identification of small objects, as well as surveillance of larger areas. In short, aerostats enable true persistent, real-time tactical ISR at an affordable cost.

“As the nation continues to respond to escalating threats from home and abroad, the innovative solutions being implemented to meet those threats, have led to tremendous growth in the field of Homeland Security,” said Michael Madsen, co-founder, and publisher of American Security Today. “Today, the United States is increasingly focusing on protecting IT/cyber security networks, and government and security professionals are calling on innovative companies like those honored with 2018 ASTORS Awards, to help them do so.”

“ASTORS’ nominations are evaluated by American Security Today’s panel of sector experts on their technical innovation, interoperability, specific impact within the category, overall impact to the industry, relatability to other industry technologies, and application feasibility outside of the industry,” according to Tammy Waitt, co-founder and editorial director of American Security Today.

“It’s very rewarding to be recognized for our pioneering work in addressing the important security needs of persistent surveillance. What differentiates TCOM’s aerostats is their ease of deployment, efficiency and the fact that they can serve as eyes in the sky. For those reasons, TCOM Aerostats have been used as part of the longest ongoing Aerostat surveillance operations,” said Matthew McNiel, VP of Business Development at TCOM.

About TCOM, LP:
TCOM, LP is a global leader of Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) solutions of Lighter-than-Air Persistent Surveillance Tethered Aerostat platforms for Air, Maritime, and Land. For over 40 years, the company’s pioneering innovations have defined the persistent surveillance and Lighter-than-Air industries. By blending leading-edge technology, manufacturing, and field operation capabilities, TCOM has provided ISR systems for the United States and foreign governments with complete persistent surveillance capabilities. — Jay Weinstein, NDISAC Board of Directors Chair and L3 Technologies CISO

WASHINGTON, DC, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, UNITED STATES, December 3, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — The National Defense Information Sharing and Analysis Center™ (National Defense ISAC™ or NDISAC™) is pleased to announce the addition of Steve Shirley as the National Defense ISAC Executive Director.

“We are excited to have Steve lead us at the National Defense ISAC,” stated Jay Weinstein, NDISAC Board of Directors Chair and L3 Technologies CISO. “Steve has extensive knowledge of the defense industry. His passion and commitment to further the security of the defense industrial base will increase the value of NDISAC to our members. Steve has over 30 years’ experience with security issues that affect the defense industry. As the former Executive Director of the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) and Vice Commander of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Steve will bring a unique perspective to enhance the National Defense ISAC current membership base, capabilities and services.

“I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to lead the National Defense ISAC. My past experiences have prepared me well for this role and I look forward to taking the NDISAC to the next level and making a positive difference to our members,” Shirley stated.

As the NDISAC Executive Director, Steve will work as a nonvoting member of the Board of Directors to further shape and refine the NDISAC strategic plan, and will oversee the development and implementation of information sharing mechanisms, services, working groups and partnership and collaborative engagements across the DIB, DIB suppliers, and commercial DIB interdependencies. Prior to DC3, Steve served as Vice Commander of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations with responsibilities as the chief operating officer for 3,500 personnel and 220 locations around the globe. Steve’s military career included service as a commander of counterintelligence, antiterrorism and investigative operations in the US, Europe, and Asia at all levels of the Air Force. In 2004, Steve retired from the Air Force as a colonel and was appointed to the Senior Executive Service.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, master’s degree from Arizona State University and is also a graduate of the Squadron Officer School, the Air Command and Staff College, the Armed Forces Staff College and the Air War College.

Steve succeeds NDISAC Interim Executive Director, Carlos Kizzee, who held the role of Defense Security Information Exchange (DSIE) Executive Director for the past three years. Carlos oversaw the formation of the National Defense ISAC, its merger with the Defense Industrial Base Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (DIB-ISAO), and the transition of DSIE as the DIB cyber threat center of excellence previously under DIB-ISAO to the premier cyber threat sharing community within NDISAC. Mind Commerce sees Asset Tracking Market driven by Increasingly Connected Business Assets

Asset Tracking Market

Asset Tracking Market

Connected Devices Market

Mobile Edge Computing Market

As Enterprise Assets become Increasingly Connected, Asset Tracking enabled Use Cases Grow in Value and Diversity

As Enterprise Assets become Increasingly Connected, so do Opportunities to Track”

— Mind Commerce

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES, December 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — There is a growing awareness among CXOs and executives regarding the merits of asset tracking, and correspondingly, a marked reduction in friction towards connecting business assets. This is particularly the case for high-value and/or strategic enterprise and industrial assets.

This is driving a global asset tracking market that is anticipated to reach $27.1B by 2023, growing at 14.8% CAGR. Supported by adoption by certain large enterprise users, the North America region will hold the largest regional share within the global asset tracking market at 37.1%.

Mind Commerce sees robust growth for early entrants and fast followers. However, mainstream adoption is restrained largely by implementation decisions involving form factor, asset priorities, and life-cycle support. While costs to implement and operate continue to plummet (due to lower module and electronics, connectivity, and communications services), concerns remain in the areas of physical and logical security.

There is also a hindrance towards in-house implementation. Accordingly, most enterprise and industrial clients look towards a turn-key approach and/or involvement of a systems integrator for initial set-up and commercial M2M/IoT service providers for ongoing support.

Tracking enterprise and industrial assets depends upon connected devices, which represents an IoT sub-market that is rapidly evolving as the number, type, and purpose of devices is set to expand dramatically as asset tracking expands beyond the current state of limited applications, many of which remain silo in nature.

Over the course of the next five years, the global connected device market will support many IoT applications that will become increasingly interconnected. Some of these applications will be enhanced through communication with a so-called “Smart Device”, characterized as possessing intelligence, which can be embedded/stand-alone and/or provided remotely via cloud services.

Legacy carriers will have an advantage over non-cellular IoT operators as 5G is launched. One reason is because of substantially increased IoT network scalability facilitated by 5G and required by an ever-growing number of connected devices.

Equally important, 5G networks will leverage distributed cloud infrastructure via Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) equipment, which will support distributed intelligence for real-time decision making. This means that a given IoT device need not be smart, and in fact, many are relatively unintelligent devices that are typically single-purpose and rely upon intelligence to be provided elsewhere for data processing, analytics, analysis, and dispersal of actionable information.

The Asset Tracking Market report by Technology (M2M/IoT, Edge Computing, Smart Devices), Connection Type (3G, 4G, 5G, WiFi, and WiMAX), Mobility (Fixed, Portable, and Mobile), Location Determination (GPS, RFID, Others), and Industry Verticals 2018 – 2023, evaluates the asset tracking market including technologies, solutions, and ecosystem. The report assesses the impacts of various use case considerations such as technology and solution selection. It analyzes the asset tracking market outlook globally, regionally, and by major country with forecasts by technology, connection, mobility, location requirements, and industry.
