ARLINGTON, TX, UNITED STATES, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- DRONERESPONDERS, the world's leading nonprofit program supporting public safety agencies that fly drones to save lives, today announced the program for TEXCON 2026, the Texas Public Safety UAS Conference, taking place October 19–22, 2026, at Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, in Arlington. With less than two weeks until the conference opens, public safety and government personnel are encouraged to register now to secure their seats, especially in the hands-on training courses.

Recognized as Texas' leading public safety UAS conference, TEXCON brings together the nation's foremost public safety drone professionals, agencies, and industry innovators to accelerate the future of UAS, counter-UAS, and advanced aviation technologies. Produced by AIRT and hosted by the Arlington Police Department, the 2026 conference moves to North Texas with expanded training capacity and exhibitor space. The conference is supported by partners including Autonomy Global and the AUVSI Lone Star Chapter, with training hosted by Tarrant County College, the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex in Fort Worth, the Arlington Police Department, and the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

"TEXCON has become the place where Texas agencies and their partners from across the country come to sharpen their skills, see what's next, and build the relationships that make interagency drone operations work when it matters most," said Jason Day, Deputy Director of DRONERESPONDERS. "Bringing it to Globe Life Field, with the Arlington Police Department as our host agency and training at public safety facilities throughout the region, lets us put more responders through real-world instruction than ever before. Seats in the training courses are limited, so don't wait. Register today and join us in Arlington."

Day brings more than 35 years of aviation experience to TEXCON, including service in the U.S. Navy, a career in civilian aviation, and more than a decade in public safety aviation. He previously served as Director of Unmanned Aircraft for the Texas Department of Public Safety, where he helped build the largest public safety UAS program in the United States.

"Texas agencies are asking their drone programs to do more every year, from major event security and counter-UAS to search and rescue, crash reconstruction, and disaster response," said Chief Charles Werner (Ret.), founder and director of DRONERESPONDERS. "TEXCON puts responders in the same room, and on the same training field, as the federal partners, state leaders, and practitioners who are solving those challenges right now. If your agency has been thinking about attending, now is the time to register."

Four Days of Training, Education, and Operational Insight
The conference opens Monday, October 19, with a full day of panels and presentations from leading voices in public safety aviation, technology, and policy. Arlington Police Chief Alexander Jones will deliver the opening keynote, followed by sessions on the state of public safety UAS, lessons learned from UAS operations supporting the FIFA World Cup in Texas and Florida, FAA policy and the future of flight, federal aviation security and counter-UAS, and the impact of drone delivery on public safety operations. Featured speakers include representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and Amazon Prime Air.

On Wednesday and Thursday, October 21–22, attendees move into immersive, scenario-based training across eight two-day courses hosted by partner agencies throughout North Texas. Courses include the UAS Operators Course, Fire/EMS Course, DOT UAS Course, Tactical Operators Course, Public Safety UAS Program Managers Course, Photogrammetry and Crash Scene Reconstruction Course, PIX4D Training Course, and TAK User Course, taught by instructors from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the Austin Fire Department, the Arlington Police Department, the Florida Highway Patrol, and DRONERESPONDERS.

Exhibit Hall and Live Technology Demonstrations
On Tuesday, October 20, the exhibit hall opens from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., where attendees will engage directly with manufacturers, software platforms, solution providers, and counter-UAS technologies, with indoor exhibits and live presentations and flight demonstrations in the outdoor flight area. TEXCON also reunites with the Texas TAK Workshop, bringing TAK-focused panels, operational insights, and ecosystem innovations to the showcase.

Who Should Attend and How to Register
General admission to TEXCON is limited to public safety, military, Department of Transportation, and other government personnel, as well as approved academic organizations, recognized volunteer public safety organizations, and government-adjacent organizations. Private sector companies must participate as exhibitors or sponsors, and a strict no-suitcasing policy is enforced.
