Turks and Caicos reservations are the strongest in terms of advance bookings”

— Alexandra Baradi

NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, August 27, 2018 / — Exceptional Villas, one of the world’s most trusted villa rental companies has announced this year’s most sought-after destinations in the Caribbean for the 2018/19 season. The information is based on advanced booking trends and inquiries. The Top Destinations include Turks and Caicos, Barbados, Costa Rica and The Dominican Republic. In addition, they have seen a welcome come back for advance bookings to St Barts which has historically been one of the most sought-after destinations for luxury vacation rentals in the Caribbean.

These destinations are trending well as a result of increased bookings from families and especially from families taking multi-generational breaks. There has also been a marked increase in groups choosing the Caribbean to celebrate special occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays or a destination wedding.

1)‘Turks and Caicos reservations are the strongest in terms of advance bookings’ says Alexandra Baradi, owner, and CEO of Exceptional Villas. ‘Historically, most of our clients arriving in Turks and Caicos have originated from the US and Canada’, but the company is also seeing a surge in bookings from the UK and mainland Europe. The increase in bookings is greatly enhanced by the availability of direct flights from most major US and Canadian hubs to the main tourist island of Providenciales.

2)Barbados is also performing extremely well when it comes to Luxury Villa Rentals in the Caribbean. The company is experiencing a 20% increase in year on year business to the island stated Baradi. The island has some of the best beachfront villas in the Caribbean and also offers very good value for clients looking for 5-star accommodation.

3) The Dominican Republic is another country experiencing a surge in popularity. The resorts of Punta Cana, Casa de Campo, and Cap Cana are seeing the biggest growth. The resorts have some of the country’s most luxurious vacation rentals as well as world-class golf courses, wonderful beaches, restaurants, shops, spas, tennis centers and 5-star hotels. But the Dominican Republic is a country which has a captivating history, culture and natural beauty which is also why tourists are flocking to the country.

4) St Barts – Exceptional Villas are seeing substantial growth for St Barts. Clients who had to make alternative plans last year because of the hurricane are re-booking due to the fact that they missed their piece of paradise so much. St Barts is an island like no other and it is simply not possible to replicate the experience of a St Barts Vacation elsewhere. The island has a unique combination of the chicness and culture that comes with the south of France combined with the stunning beauty, pristine beaches and crystal-clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean.

Managing the Risks in the Air Charter Travel

DUBAI, DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, August 27, 2018 / — Chartering an aircraft is the most flexible and convenient way to eliminate maintenance & capital costs of owning an aircraft or using the traditional commercial travel options. Proximity to airports, exclusive high-quality service, privacy, gourmet food and drink options, iconic ‘full of character’ travel are among the many benefits of private and group charter travel.
Yes, the blessings of chartering are endless. However, chartering does come with its own set of baggage, especially for those who don’t know how to conduct basic due diligence on the operator and/or broker involved. The deficiency in standards of safety, quality, reliability and professionalism can cause client routs.
This article reviews the risks involved in the charter market and practical aspects of evaluation and management. In our earlier article “How to book your 1st successful private jet flight”, we covered the various key aspects when making the first booking as well as the common terminology used in the industry. This article is a quick read and an incredibly practical citation for first timers and seasoned charter users so that they are aware of the risks of their travel and take necessary action to mitigate them and thus travel risk-proof as much as possible.
Below we have captured the main 5 risks in the aircraft charter business, and have provided guidance on how to mitigate them:
1. Operator Default or Insolvency
Operator default is generally an uncommon event but not unheard of. In the following cases the operator can declare default resulting in the grounding of the aircraft:
· The airline operator fails in its obligations to pay dues under a finance lease to an aircraft lessor at the scheduled time.
. Operator of the aircraft continues to default in its obligations to the owner of aircraft.
· Operator’s default in timely payment of the airport charges or any other third-party DOC’s (direct operating costs).
A simple background check on the operator is essential. Charter Brokers can minimize the risk for their clients by taking appropriate measures such as the use of aviation insurance. This is their game and credible brokers know how to eliminate the risks for them and their clients. It would be appropriate to get the following questions answered beforehand: Have any personnel associated with the organization been convicted of a felony, filed for bankruptcy, or had tax liens or foreclosures?
2. Broker – Operator – Customer Errors & Disputes
What happens if it turns out a wrong airport code was communicated by someone in the ‘service supply chain’? In fast-paced global businesses, mistakes like these and others can and do happen. Does the customer have all to lose? No, they don’t if errors like these with big consequences have already been taken care of. “Errors and omissions insurance” is something that hulls such transport risks. Customers should therefore eliminate the risks by requesting for Professional Liability Insurance certificate, commonly known as “errors & omissions” insurance.
3. Aircraft Repair & Maintenance
If you are going via the safer and straightforward route of hiring a charter through a broker, they should have all the information on the aircraft safety records, audit ratings, accidents or recordable incidents as well as full maintenance record, information on maintenance staff, approved parts, etc. You can request these at any time.
In case the aircraft is being chartered directly from the operator, you should request this information from them or get an independent audit performed by a recognized and accredited aviation audit company to mitigate the risks. Some third-party safety auditors include International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO), Air Charter Safety Foundation (ACSF), Aviation Research Group U.S. (ARG/US), Wyvern, etc.
4. Pilot & Crew Members
A majority of air crashes are due to pilot error, fatigue or lack of skill. Again, if you are chartering through a credible/reputed broker, they would have already conducted background checks verifying the experience of pilots, their trainings & maintenance staff information and checked important documentation. In case of chartering direct, the information should be sought from the operator.
5. Stringent Refund Policies
After a charter agreement has been signed off, any cancellations are subject to a penalty charge. However, cancellations made by clients a few days before the departure may incur charges up to 100%.
Any additional termination penalties of the operator need to be incurred by the client. Thus, charter traveller’s need to plan their dates well to avoid facing high cancellation charges.
In addition to the above, if you are going to fly an older aircraft model, ensure they have been updated to an SMS (Safety Management System). This is the newest comprehensive safety program in the industry.
The risks may sound overwhelming, especially for first-time travellers. But you can steer away and reduce them either by choosing an accredited broker who verifies everything on your behalf or by conducting due diligence yourself. Alternatively, you can outsource it to an independent aviation consultant. Uncertainty and lack of knowledge can be expensive for you as a charter traveller, either in terms of time or money, or both, but hopefully the tips outlined above will help you in mitigating the risks.
At the bottom line of all the arguments is that air charter is the smartest alternative for flying private but with a little insider knowledge you can take things on with more confidence and ease. Happy smart travelling with your trusted charter partner!

Private Jet Flight – How to Book Your 1st Successful Charter Flight

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, August 27, 2018 / — So, you have decided you want to give private jet flying a shot. A far-fetched dream of most, the extravagance of private jet flight offers speed, privacy, safety & comfort.
Now that you have made up your mind, who are you going to contact to book your first private jet flight? Which aircraft best suits your travel requirements and entrusts your safety & security. Have you discussed your options for in-flight dining/catering menus and concierge services? Are there any hidden costs involved?
If it is your first time, it can get pretty overwhelming and you might get in a muddle trying to figure out the rules of this game. Keeping first-timers like you in mind, Delta World Charter has put together this easy-to-read article to help you ask the right questions. And thus make the right decisions before you book your private jet flight. We believe this 10-minute read will give you a fairly good run down of what to look out for when booking your first private jet flight. As well as the common terminology used.

How much does it cost to charter a Private Jet?
Well it depends on a few factors:
• Where you want to go.
The more the distance, the bigger an aircraft that’s needed.
• Number of people and the baggage.
Again, a directly proportional relationship to the size of aircraft and the cost.
• Re-fueling stops, if applicable.
• Your travel times and dates.
As in commercial travel, traveling in busy summer months is more expensive than traveling in non-peak times.
• Want only one-way?
You still have to pay for the repositioning of the aircraft as it going to travel empty, which is a common term in aviation called the ‘empty-leg’.
• Where you are starting your journey and the destination.
Government fees, navigation charges, airport fees and handling costs are incurred. These can drive up the total cost of the flight.
• Although your private jet flight quote is not really a minefield, there can be some costs that you can incur on top of what’s on the contract. For example, in case of snow, an additional de-icing cost needs to be borne by the customer. The average de-icing cost for a small jet can range from US $1,000 per application, however for a larger aircraft it can cost over $10,000.
• Do you have a flexible schedule? And are you after a good deal?
Flying an empty-leg will be beneficial in cost-terms, as operators will offer them at a discounted rate.
Should I choose a Charter Broker or book directly with an Operator?
Brokers usually have access to a much larger fleet of aircraft types and varieties of private jets, which usually means more aircraft options matching your needs and better rates. If you contact an operator directly, you may be offered only a handful aircraft options to choose from.

Charter broker also checks everything for you including the obvious but possible to miss items. Whether the operator is entitled to and insured to conduct commercial operations, checking Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) and insurance certificates validity and other legalities. As well as understanding your needs & wants, so that they can make your trip special, worry-free, personalized and memorable.
So many Charter Brokers out there! How to choose the right one for me?
When choosing a charter broker, we recommend you choose one which has been around for a while. It is a good idea to look them up on the internet to find out if they are a member of any associations, employ professionals from the industry, have a B2B presence in the marketplaces for different types of aircraft chartering and are physically present around the world. Easy access and availability of this information indicates that the particular charter broker is serious in his business and his integrity to clients.
It has been the experience of our employees over the years that that the perception – a bigger charter brokerage company is always better, is not really true. Size is usually not the best determinant of service quality in this industry. Brokerage with hundreds of people may come with less personal touch (though they might be very professional) vs. a smaller charter broker with dozens of employees but 24/7 service and a key account manager to answer all your questions and arrange everything for you from A to Z.
Make sure you ask for testimonials and referrals. They would usually not mind if they have ones to provide. Also, google the broker you are considering to use, and check their social media to see what’s being said about them.
After you have completed your flight and are completely satisfied with their service, it may be convenient and effective to stick to them for subsequent air charter needs as they already understand you and how to meet your expectations.
They say the first is always the most memorable. Best of luck with having a first-time experience that will last with you a lifetime and change the way you travel.
Still have questions? We love answering them. You can contact us on email or call us on +971 4 887 9550.
